Group Psychotherapy

Some things heal better in company. Group psychotherapy brings together people working on similar challenges, led by one of our clinicians: you learn skills and perspectives you would not reach alone, and you discover — often with real relief — that you are not the only one.

Our group psychotherapy programs run periodically throughout the year. We are not currently enrolling for a specific start date. If you would like to receive information about upcoming groups, contact us and we will add you to the list, or you can fill out our intake form and we will reach out with more information.

Groups we run

  • ADHD Skills and Support Group — practical strategies for living with ADHD, in a group that understands it from the inside
  • ACT Skills Group — acceptance and commitment therapy skills for anxiety, stress, and getting unstuck
  • DBT Skills Group — skills for managing intense emotions, getting through difficult moments, and building steadier relationships

Groups for organizations and communities

At times, our clinicians are asked to run a group for a specific organization or population — after a sudden death or loss, in response to difficult world events, or when a group needs its content culturally adapted. Our clinicians are trained to adapt group work to the people in the room. If your organization is interested, please contact Jen for more information.

Cost and first step

Cost: $125 for an initial assessment, and $100 per session. Contact Jennifer for more information, or join the list through our intake form to hear about upcoming groups.

Common questions

How do I join a group?

Add yourself to the list through our intake form or by contacting us. When a group is scheduled, we will reach out with dates, cost, and how to register.

Is group therapy covered by benefits?

Our groups are led by registered clinicians; coverage depends on your plan and the group leader’s credential. We can tell you what to ask your insurer when a group is announced.

What if I’m nervous about speaking in a group?

Nearly everyone is, at first. Groups are structured and led, sharing is always at your pace, and what is said in the group stays in the group. we will never force you to share.
