Meet Tamara

TAMARA EL-AYDI

Tamara El-Aydi is a Clinical Associate offering psychotherapy under the supervision of Dr. Taslim and Fiana.

She has her Masters in Psychology from Master of Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a Specialization in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Alongside her graduate training, Tamara has gained experience through volunteering at a crisis helpline, which has deepened her understanding of mental health needs across diverse populations. She takes an integrative approach, guided by a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive perspective. Her therapeutic work draws on evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Tamara values the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance and emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and respect within the therapeutic relationship. She is passionate about helping clients recognize their inherent strengths and empowering them to create meaningful change.

At Silm Centre for Mental Health, Tamara sees children, adolescents and adults. Tamara works out of the Toronto and Oakville offices.
