RANA NOSRATI
Rana is a Clinical Associate and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), practicing under the supervision of Dr. Taslim Alani-Verjee, C.Psych. She has her Honours Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Toronto, and is in the midst of completing her Masters in Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School.
Rana has always believed that listening to people without judgment or interruption and creating a safe space where a person can be their authentic self, can benefit anyone who is struggling. She recognizes that each person is unique and comes with their own story. Her approach in therapy is integrative and she tends to use elements from Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) in a client-centered and trauma-informed manner. She also explores attachment issues and includes psychoeducation whenever she believes it to be of value. Furthermore, she acknowledges the importance of each person’s cultural background, which is why she is always curious about people’s experiences in their culture and works in a culturally sensitive manner. Rana practices in English and Farsi.
