Meet Mahsa

MAHSA ZAHEDI

Mahsa is a Master’s level practicum student currently engaged in practical training under the supervision of Dr. Taslim Alani-Verjee. She is currently pursuing her Master of Psychology degree at Adler Graduate Professional School. Mahsa holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University and has been working as a psychometrist for the past four years with individuals presenting with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and post-traumatic stress.

At Silm Centre for Mental Health, Mahsa contributes to psychotherapeutic interventions
and supports psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments. She offers psychological services using a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens. She
incorporates strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Brief-Solution
Focused Therapy (SFT).
