Meet Dr. Mariam

DR. MARIAM AYOUB

Dr. Mariam Ayoub earned her Doctorate in the Clinical and Counselling Psychology program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) of the University of Toronto. She has been trained as a researcher and clinician in working with diverse populations of youth and adults, including marginalized communities (e.g., Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+). Mariam operates from a scientist-practitioner lens wherein her clinical training is informed by empirically-supported treatments. In her clinical work, she integrates evidenced-based interventions (EFT, CBT) within a client-centered and culturally sensitive framework, while also tailoring the interventions to suit the needs of each individual client. At Silm Centre for Mental Health, Dr. Mariam works as a supervising psychologist.
