SAMEERA KARIMI
Sameera is a Registered Psychotherapist working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Sameera brings warmth, compassion, non-judgement to build a safe space for clients to explore and bring change at their own pace.
Sameera primarily draws from Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She approaches therapy from an anti-oppression and client-centered perspective. This means that she honours the goals, viewpoints, and pace that clients bring to the therapeutic process. She strives to understand each individual with whom she works within the context of their relationships, and she aims to recognize and address the roles that power, privilege and discrimination play in our lives.
