
RATANAK LY
Ratanak is a practicum student practicing under the supervision of Fiana Andrews and Dr. Taslim. He is completing his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of PEI, and has a Masters in Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School.
He practices from an integrative perspective that is trauma informed. His style has been described as gentle, warm, highly collaborative, and strength based. He augments his systemic and relational approach with psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, emotion-focused therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, attachment, solution-focused. At Silm Centre for Mental Health, Ratanak welcomes the opportunity to work with individual children, adolescents and adults. Ratanak’s work in the field has shown him the importance that social justice plays in therapy work with diverse clients and how deeply healing these conversations can be for folks. Ratanak supports folks of all genders, sexual orientations and members of the LGBTQQIA2SA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersexed, asexual, two spirit and allied) communities. He also seeks to provide a safe and welcoming space to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) community members. He also works from a trauma-informed approach and perspective that values the importance of safety and trust in his work with his clients.
